Culling of The Calf: By Vasilios Sfinarolakis

On Sunday night, we hosted the Gelato Art Salon. One of the featured artists was Vas Sfinarolakis, who shot this moving video of a calf slaughter. The calf was raised on a humane, family farm. But the video questions our concept of "humane".

This is a story about the death of a calf. This story has been interpreted through the lens of Vasilios Sfinarolakis ... and without intentionally injecting arrogance into the piece, we must note as a literate visual audience that this is an interpretation albeit on the side of objectivity.
